The Project
As cities across the Nation strived to develop and revitalize during the mid-1990's, Baltimore was busy welcoming the rise of a new and grand stadium - M&T Bank Stadium (formerly PSINet and Ravens Stadium). M&T Bank Stadium is one of the finest sports arenas in the Nation covering 178,366 square feet and offering an occupancy of over 68,915 stadium seats, and 7,904 club seats. There is plenty of room for Baltimore to root for the home team !
PK Role
Poole and Kent provided the installation of the complete mechanical and plumbing infrastructure for the stadium: including over 2,000 plumbing fixtures and 15 mechanical equipment rooms.
Project Highlights/Challenges
Poole and Kent provided almost $2 million in cost reductions, through twenty-nine value engineering modifications, that included the elimination of eight nonessential dedicated air handlers in the elevator lobbies and the club level. Despite some 200 engineering/design change orders for the Stadium’s mechanical system, Poole and Kent met all milestones of the project schedule.
Poole and Kent was proud to perform the mechanical work on M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens!
