Verizon Call Center, Hanover, Maryland
Verizon sought to construct a new 140,000 sf mission critical call center in Hanover, Maryland to serve as a national hub for their growing wireless customer base. Poole and Kent was contacted direct by the General Contractor to provide design assistance and to perform the mechanical package for the Verizon Call Center.
Poole & Kent Role
As the design-assist, mechanical contractor Poole and Kent furnished and inistalled the following systems and equipment:
- (17) Rooftop Units and associated piping, ductwork and controls.
- Electrical Unit Heaters
- Sheet Metal
Challenges / Achievements / Goals
The project was required to be fully complete within five months from the start date. Despite weather challenges due to unseasonal rain, Poole and Kent completed the installation of the rooftop units ahead of schedule allowing for early start up of the commissioning process for the building.
